Itinerary
Day 01: Mandalay- Yandabo Village (76 Miles) (-, L, D)
Embarkation time is not later than 09:00 at Irrawaddy Princess II river cruise. The ship will cast off at 09:30, sail downstream through and approximately 16:30 arrive to Yandabo Village. Dependant on the base economy is famous for the production of terracotta from the riverbank clay. We see the pottery making process at various stages. Yandabo, historically recognized for the signing of the Yandabo Treaty which took place under a tree on the riverbank in 1826 between the British and Royal Buemese House- hold of Ava. Shore excursion time is 1 hour. Back to the ship and cast off. Continue sailing downstream and moor overnight at Chindwin Confluence.
Day 02: Yandabo Village – Bagan (Miles 53) (B, L, D)
Cast off early morning, continue sailing downstream and approximately arrive to Bagan 09:00 am. Sightseeing by coach, a fantastic site of over 2,500 stupas (Buddhist religious monument), temples and pagodas. Back to the ship for lunch. Afternoon sightseeing, follow by lacquer ware factory and enjoy the sunset at Bagan. Moor overnight at Bagan.
Day 03: Bagan- Sale’- Magwe (Miles 90) (B, L, D)
Early morning cast off from Bagan. After breakfast, arrive to Sale’. 2 hour’s walking sightseeing to Sale’, we will visit numerous teak monasteries including the Yoke Son Kyaung with its spectacular wood curving, and see the splendid colonial- style house. Moor overnight near Yenan Chaung.
DAY 04: Yenan Chaung- Magwe (Miles 23) (B, L, D)
2 hour’s city tour by trishaw visiting the market and surrounding. Back to the ship for lunch. In the late afternoon, visit to the magnificent Mya- Thalon Pagoda and enjoy the sunset over the pagoda. Moor overnight at Magwe.
DAY 05: Magwe – Min Hla – Thayet Myo (Miles 75) (B, L, D)
We cast off early morning from Magwe and arrived to Min Hla after breakfast.Walking sightseeing to Min Hla fort 30 minutes, we continue to Gwe- Chaung Fort by sampan 2 hour’s trip. Visiting the two Italian built forts constructed 1860 during King Mindon Reign to keep the invading forces away from the Royal Burma. Continue sailing through downstream and moor overnight near Zaung Chan Taung Village.
DAY 06: Thayet Myo – Pyay (Miles 40) (B, L, D)
Cast off from Zaung Chan Taung Village and to Thayet Myo after breakfast. 3 hour sightseeing by horse cart, visiting the market, the pleasant colonial town, the countryside and the oldest golf course in Myanmar. Back to the ship and continue downstream to Pyay. In the afternoon, 3 hour excursion by coach, visit to Maw Zaa Phyu Village and explore the archaeological site of Thiri-ya-kittiya and visit to Shwe San Daw Pagoda.
DAY 07: Yenan Chaung- Magwe (Miles 23) (B, L, D)
Breakfast, luggage call, settlement of the bills and Disembark from the ship.
