Itinerary
Day 01: Bagan – River Village Stop (-/L/D)
Embarkation time is 11:30 AM at Irrawaddy Princess Jetty, Welcome Drink andand briefing. the board will sail upstream. In the late afternoon stop in at the typical river Village
Day 02: River village – Yandabo Village – MyinMu(B/L/D)
In the early morning, continuous upstream to Yandabo Village. Dependant on the base economy is famous for the production of terracotta from the riverbankclay. We see the pottery making process at various stages. Yandabohistorically recognized for the signing of the Yandabo Treaty which took place under a treeon the riverbank in 1826 between the British and Royal Burmese House-hold ofAva. After a short excursion, return back on board and continuous upstreamand Moor overnight near MyinMu.
Day 03: MyinMu – Monywa – Myin Mu(B/L/D)
Arrive at Monywa in the morning. After Breakfast visiting by coach tosplendid Sambuddhia Kat Kyaw pagoda where more than 500,000 Buddhastatues are placed. We continue drive to Kyaukka village to visit a “plainlacquer” ware type workshop. Called in Myanmar “KyaukKar”, this kind oflacquer ware has only two colors, black and red made by natural pigmentsand the AungSakyarStupa with the longest reclining Buddha of Myanmar (333 ft/ 100 m). Lunch will be served Local Restaurant and Dinner at Onboard.
DAY 04: Myin Mu – Inwa -Sagaing(B/L/D)
Continue sailing upstream and upon arrival to Royal Capital of Inwa (Ava), Visit to carriage include Nanmyint Watch Tower, the remain ofthe palace building nickname “the leaning tower of Ava ‘MahaAungmyeBonzan Monastery, built of brick and stucco and Bargayar Monasteryfamous for its impressive ornate woodcarving and teak posts.Back to cruise.Continue sailing upstream and arrive to Sagaing. Visit to Sagaing for about Two& half hour’s excursion by coach. Visiting the most important Buddhist Religion site. Back to the board and sail downstream. Enjoy the sunset over Sagaing Hill. Moor overnight at a sandbank mid-stream, near Sagaing.
DAY 05: Sagaing – Mingun–Mandalay Sightseeing(B/L/D)
In the early morning, continuous sail upstream for about two and half hour we arrived at the MINGUN Pagoda Complex. Well known short trip to see the unfinished pagoda, the Mingun Bell, weighting 90 tones and the biggest hanging undamaged bell in the world and the “Home For The Aged”.After lunch, visiting by coach to Mahamuni Buddha Image – a bronze Buddha image castled during the lifetime of Buddha himself, Continue to Tapestry works, Wood carving & bronze castling workshops, Marble carving workshop and silk weaving home cottage. Continues to Mandalay Palace, Shwenandaw Monastery – noted for its exquisite wood carvings, gold leaf beating workshop, Atumashi Monastery, Kuthodaw Pagoda. Return back to Cruise and Dinner at on board.
DAY 06: Mandalay (B/-/-)
Cast off early morning, continue sailing downstream and approximately arrive to Jetty about 08:30 am. Disembark from board.
